After London, New York, Harare, Kabul, Cairo and Bombay, Sarajevo will host the international exhibition "Freedom to Create", which will be set at the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina from July the 21st to August the 2nd , according to a statement from the organizers
"Freedom to Create" combines powerful art with important messages, bringing global issues to local communities and showing how creativity is used to initiate social change and strengthening the unity around the world.

"Freedom to Create" focuses on societies in developing countries in the fight against poverty, injustice and intolerance in order to change lives through creativity and art. The exhibition will present 38 works of artists from 26 countries worldwide, and it is a compilation of works from the competition "Freedom to Create" held on 2010, where focus was on building peace.

Also 18 photographs that are the result of joint workshops for Palestinian and Israeli news and documentary photographer will be set up.

Commenting on the arrival of a unique exhibition, "Freedom to Create" in Sarajevo, a spokeswoman for the project Priti Devi believes that this is a wonderful opportunity to be at this historic and beautiful place such as the National Gallery, for the artists who live in some of the most troubled places on earth to provide a place where they can showcase their talent so it could encourage social change.

"Despite the turbulent history of this country, Bosnia's artists, scientists and musicians have been acknowledged worldwide. Their talent and success is an inspiration to the competitors for the Freedom to Create Prize," said Devi.

The organization Freedom to Create was established in 2006 in order to direct the forces of art and culture to build creative and progressive societies. The organization's aim is to give each person the freedom to create himself an opportunity to participate in building and maintaining an inclusive peace and prosperity to the world of tomorrow.

The basis of our work is the belief that communities themselves have the power to creatively discuss and find solutions to the problems that this exhibition shows.
