Bjelasnica - Stirni Do Circular Snowshoeing Delight

While Bjelasnica's unpredictable weather may have a fairly major part to play in how much time the hike takes, in general it may be expected to take a little over four hours. The trek will start at the Olympic resort, and continue into the forests next to the ski slopes to enter a magical winter world. The group will park at the Marsal Hotel, and trek into the forests next to the ski slopes. The snow is expected to be quite deep. The group will hike around the eastern ridge to the open valley on the opposite side of Bjelasnica's highest peak. The valley towards Stirni Do offers a phenomenal view of Treskavica and Visocica Mountains and if there's a clear blue sky, one can see the towering mountains on the Montenegrin border.

What to bring: hiking boots, day pack, one litre of water, winter gear, hat and gloves, gaiters, sun block and sunglasses, a dry t-shirt / fleece and camera.

What is included: transport to and from Sarajevo, coffee and/or tea, picnic lunch, a fully-equipped and experienced guide, snowshoes, ski poles and gaiters.
